And so we started a new year.
Happy creative 2025, with health, love and generosity.

This year, a teacher told me, "Don't you do faces with multicolors—it hardly ever works out the way you want." I agree. But when it does: Its pretty cool.

So, here I am, still doing it. This little portrait, at least, photographs well. (I also learned that you can do a lot with a face as long as the eyes are right).

The holidays bring this nostalgic mood, don't they?

This is day 455 of drawing. In 2024, I’ve made a drawing every single day. That's ridiculous—I have no idea how I did that. Sometimes it felt like an addiction, other times like a chore.

But it always leaves me with a sense of accomplishment before the day even starts, which gives such a strong boost to everything else that follows. And let’s be fair—that’s already worth it, especially in these times.

Beyond that, I’m even more honored and happy to know that so many of you—yes, you!—can appreciate the caverns of my mind. Even buying them. I am forever grateful for that.

Now, let's kick 2024 out and see what 2025 will bring.

"How long did that take?"

People often ask me how long it takes to make a drawing. When I say “half an hour, an hour,” I sometimes see disappointment on their faces—like they wish it took me days. They imagine me coming home after work, spending hours perfecting a single piece. But I rarely do.

In a way, though, it does take days—because I couldn’t have made this one without the practice of all the ones that came before it.

It’s a strange question. Art isn’t about time. It’s about attention, love, and dedication. That’s where the true value lies.

Keep creating. Keep looking. Keep appreciating. Finish your work. Because it’s not about the clock—it’s about what you feel when you see it. 💛

2019.
I decided I would at least sketch everyday. Didn't know what and didn't have a routine, so ended up at the latest moment just before bed, to keep my promise.

Still no clue what to draw.
I just drew what I saw.
It turned into these paintings.
Just how I viewed myself.

It made me realise you don't need big idea or intense feeling. There is just as much creativity and beauty found in that what is in front of u. As long as u treat it in that way.
