Every day I make a small drawing. Not every drawing is successful. Maybe only half of them are.
That means I ended up with more than 400 drawings that didn't quite work out. But they were just as important as the successful ones, because every single one taught me something.
Instead of throwing them away, I cut them into tiny pieces, sorted them by colour, and used them to create this self portrait.
It consists of around 10,000 little dots, each one carrying a fragment of a previous drawing.
For me, it is proof that growth is built from every attempt, every mistake, and every failure along the way.
So, after it was finished I also made the frame.
